Cashmere and merino from J.Crew and Banana Republic cause irritation. Should I try higher-end brands or look for alternatives?
I’m hearing a lot of good things about Uniqlo’s Heattech. I wanted to order a specific pair of the leggings for my upcoming trip but they were sold out! I’ll definitely give them a shot though!

If you find it itchy, I recommend a very good base layer, basically an undershirt. "Heat tech" from Uniqlo - he can buy online. Super lightweight, like it only weighs 3 oz or something LOL Very affordable, comes in many colors, sells all year around, and it keeps you unbelievably warm. I swear by it and so does my entire family LOL They last forever, too.... Washes well.

Which brands/products have gotten better over time?
I came here to post this^. I’ve had some of my uniqlo basics for 5+ years and they’re still good as new imo. I really love their heattech socks especially. I wear them all the time and they’re still thick and comfortable with no holes after years.

Which brands/products have gotten better over time?
Honestly, Uniqlo’s quality has held up or even improved. Their basics still last forever and the Airism/Heattech lines keep getting better.

Best longjohns/baselayers?
Damn I love my uniqlo but I ran into the thread hoping there was a cheaper option. I like the ultrawarm at $60 a set. I guess I should just suck it up
