The YETI Rambler Bottle with Chug Cap is a tough as nails water bottle that will help you smash through your morning hike or kayaking trip. It's made to be 100% leak proof, with puncture and rust-resistant 18/8 stainless steel for toughness. The rugged TripleHaul Handle comes off with a quick twist to give you access to the shatter-resistant, dishwasher safe spout. The 769ml bottle is the goldilocks of the Rambler bottle line - perfect all day, every day. Whenever you want to give it a wash or a refill, you can take the whole cap off and clean it easily. It looks great too, with a range of DuraCoat Colours that won't crack or peel. A great option for a quick gulp on the go. Note: The Chug Cap is not intended for use with carbonated, perishable, or hot beverages.

Water Bottle to replace my girlfriend's addiction to Smart Water
I don’t have a recommendation but I just wanted to say that you are doing the smart thing. Buying water in plastic bottles called SmartWater must be some sort of a joke on consumers by the company. Also reusing cheap plastic bottles introduces microplastics to water - not smart. I’ve been using the same Yeti wide mouth bottle for last 7 years but it’s bulkier than other options.

I analyzed 80+ Reddit threads to find the best water bottles
I think they are definitely big enough to be very durable. They are deep enough you shouldnt have to worry about them wearing out by getting too think and they have a wide gap between each one. So, you only have to twist them a few times to get them tight and they shouldnt wear out. Look at this picture of the lid. Its a pretty good representation for how thick the threads are. Is there any water bottle that's truly buy it for life and won't leak or smell even after years of use?
Yeti Rambler with chug cap. No tight crevices so easy to clean and basically indestructible. Have had my 36oz one for about 4 years now and no issues after multiple high impact drops

I really like (insulated) water bottles with a sip/straw type opening, but the straw always seems to crack within 1-2 years. Any BiFL type options?
i think you’re spot on that the straw complicates the BIFL aspect; if you’re down to put BIFL first and reconsider straw, [consider the “chug cap” from YETI](https://www.yeti.com/drinkware/hydration/21071507219.html) it doesn’t entirely solve the ice sitch, though i have found it to be better than using an unrestricted wide mouth might be that some combo of “chug cap” and large form ice mold (that will take a long time to melt down to a size that can pass through the chug cap) might be your best way forward if straw is an a must-have, YETI also has a flip-out straw option and the straw itself can be replaced or duplicated (w/ replacements from YETI, CamelBack, or other retailers); for sanitation’s sake, consider getting multiple straws and a straw brush so that you can remove, clean, sanitize, and rotate out / replace straws

I want to buy a good water bottle
Yeti 26 all the way. My son has a Stanley and it’s just not holding up.

I want to buy a good water bottle
I have been using a Yeti Rambler 26oz jug. Keeps cold in 90+ temps for hours. I leave it in a hot car all day while at work and get back to the car with ice cold water every afternoon.

Looking for recommendations for a water bottle- sleek, gray, leak proof
I have yeti ramblers that have worked well for years. They keep cold things cold and hot things hot really well. But they are not leak proof and the lids are kind of a pain to clean. I recently got an owala water bottle which I like travelling / running errands with more. The owala has a built in straw/chug lid that has a leak proof cover. After I had a random kid sneeze on my yeti I much prefer to have a cover when I'm out and about. I have had my owala floating around in my bag all day with no leaks. The downside is that it doesn't fit in a standard car cupholder.

Looking for recommendations for a water bottle- sleek, gray, leak proof
Yeti Rambler 28 oz with chug cap. There are cheaper options but this is what I have in my bag. It has a top handle, great cap, and a nice rubberized union where they cap fits on.
