Looking for new backpack to replace Osprey Nova
Good call on ManyBaggers but also check out the Bellroy Transit Backpack - hits most of your boxes and the build quality is solid. No luggage sleeve though but honestly those things break anyway

Backpack suggestions?
If you love leather but hate strap bite, look for 1.5-2 inch straps with a webbing core and box-X stitched anchors, and add a clip-on sternum strap or a thin neoprene shoulder pad. Ten years is wild; yak holds up, but the comfort fix matters. Full-length straps stitched down the back panel last longer than tab-mounted ones, and a convertible tote-pack lets you swap shoulders fast. I’ve rotated a Bellroy Transit and a WaterField Bolt for heavy book days; Latico Leathers’ Dane handled office commutes when I wanted leather vibes without the strap bite. Wider, webbing-cored straps win.

Need Help Choosing a Backpack
Love my bellroy transit backpack. I can use it for overnight trips but isn’t huge. Fits super comfortably under an airplane seat. I’ve had it for years and holds up great. I had a slight issue with the straps initially and contacted their customer service. They immediately just sent me a new backpack which functions perfectly. It’s also actually comfortable to wear.

Can't decide on a backpack
I like bellroy, using the sling from bellroy and backpack transit for travel and sport, is waterproof. After 2 years still in good condition by using it daily.

Best backpack for everyday use and for travel
Osprey is solid, especially for travel, but for everyday use, it depends on what you need. I’ve used an Osprey Farpoint 40 for travel, and it’s been great.....comfortable, spacious, and fits as a carry-on. For everyday use, I prefer something more compact and structured, like the Aer City Pack or Bellroy Transit Workpack. Both look sleek and hold up well over time.
