Oral-B Pro 1000 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
The Oral-B Pro 1000 rechargeable electric toothbrush provides a clinically proven superior deep clean in hard-to-reach areas vs. a regular manual toothbrush. 300% MORE plaque removal along the gumline versus a regular manual toothbrush. The professionally inspired design of the CrossAction brush head surrounds each tooth with bristles angled at 16 degrees. The Oral-B Pro 1000 has 3D cleaning action that oscillates, rotates, and pulsates to break up and remove plaque along the gumline than a regular manual toothbrush. The pressure sensor stops pulsations if you brush too hard to prevent harmful over-brushing and there are 3 modes. The toothbrush also includes an in-handle timer to help you brush for a dentist-recommended two minutes. Best of all, it is brought to you by Oral-B-the #1 brand used by dentists worldwide. * *Based on surveys of a representative worldwide sample of dentists carried out for P&G regularly. Do not use on children under age 3. Replace brush (head) every 3 months or sooner if brush head becomes worn.

sonicare protective care 6100 vs oral b series 10
Good Lord! that series 10 has lots of bells an whistles. i'm s dentist with 42 years of experience. Plain and simple but good quality wins the day. Oral B Pro 1000 works quite well. Got kids? get two of em or get one with extra brush heads. these folks agree with me: [https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-electric-toothbrush/](https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-electric-toothbrush/) under $50

Would this electric toothbrush be BIFL since it uses regular AAA batteries?
The AAA battery toothbrushes are not as good as the rechargeable one. get an Oral B Pro 1000....

What's the best electric toothbrush money can buy with replaceable batteries and brush-heads?
You’re right, electric toothbrushes with replaceable batteries aren’t super common these days. Most brands are pushing built in rechargeable ones instead. From what I’ve seen the oral-b pro 100 and philips one by sonicare are decent budget options but they don’t have the same power as higher end models. If you’re open to rechargeable brushes, I came across a [discussion here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ApplianceAdvice/comments/1j37xwn/oral_b_sonicare_nah_this_electric_toothbrush_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) about a really nice alternative that a lot of people recommend- the aquasonic black series. Might be worth a look if battery swapping isn’t a dealbreaker for you!

Which oral b electric toothbrush should I get?
After some research and personal experience, I’d say if you’re looking for something that cleans well without breaking the bank, the Oral-B Pro 1000 or the Oral-B 3000 are solid choices. Both are well under $150 CAD and offer great cleaning power with a 3D cleaning action. They don’t have all the fancy features of the high-end models, like pressure sensors or app connectivity, but they’ll get the job done efficiently.

I"m Trying to decide between this selection of older models of Oral B-electric toothbrushes.
I recently purchased the Pro 1000 based on wirecutter. It was under just $40 on amazon, has a pressure sensor (not visual, it makes a different noise and stops vibrating the same way), and has the 2 minute timer with buzz demarcations every 30 seconds with 3 buzzes at the end. Battery life \*should\* last 7 days with 2x per day usage, but I haven't tested that away from a charger yet. No opinion on the heads yet, just using the standard. I know Costco has multi packs of basically all of the most popular models on sale regularly that will save a decent amount of money. I know the pro model heads are cheaper than the iO and they're not interchangeable. I almost got one of the iO models with the little screen, but it seems excessive. In the wc article, it talks about those being good for people with adhd that need reminders on their phone, etc.
