What’s one item you think should be built to last, but never is?
I have a DaveK mini that I use when traveling, very small but very durable. They have larger options also. Very high quality, although a little more expensive than other brands.

Who makes good umbrellas?
I have 3 of their umbrellas, the mini is tiny but nothing special, the solo and duet are great. I bought mine 10 years ago and they are just like new. Good to know. After 20 years, I'm about to replace my Totes Mini. The material is beginning to disintegrate at folds. Other than that, some minor spots of surface rust on the arms. Mechanics are fine. Has seen a lot of use on several continents. I know darn well they don't make them like they use to, and will not buy same replacement. Looking at the DaveK Mini. They seem to offer a quality umbrella, and good warranty. BTW, there is a 10% coupon code available at their site. I'm prolly gonna go for it. Thanks for the post!
