One of the most bombproof, apocalypse ready watches you can buy.
I would rate a digital watch over an analog. Too many moving parts in an analog watch put it at a disadvantage when compared to a digital. Now the G-Shock GW-M5610U - that is bomb proof.

I'd vote for pretty much any G-Shock variant, but am partial to the simplicity of the GW-5610. Low profile and lightweight. Solar and atomic (assuming the atomic clocks are still functional during the apocalypse), and nearly indestructible.

I love G-Shocks and the Master G series are awesome, but I feel like they are more like a piece of jewelry than a daily watch. A 5000 or 5610 are more practical and offer better value for the money.

Little luxuries or upgrades that you made this year that makes your everyday better?
Casio Oceanus S7000B-2AJF and G-Shock GW-5000U-1JF. Now considering getting a Swiss automatic and a manual. Trying to pace myself. What did you get?

What are the best BIFL quality products that are being made today?
I bought a g-shock aviator 10 years ago and just 2 weeks ago i noticed it was 12 seconds late with my phone. Not much loss over that much time. Also it was 400$. Only changed the strap a couple years ago that cost me 10 $ on amazon.

Lasted longer than my marriage...
You know what they say, you never really *own* a G-Shock, you merely look after it for the next generation.

The most durable watch in and around 20 dollars.
One turn off for me was the bulk of g shocks but If you don't mind the branding, the 'baby g' ones are targeted toward women and are in my opinion the actual perfect size of what a g shock should be. I've bought two from eBay in the $20-25 range, absolute favorite watches. Might want to measure your wrists though as I'm 2 holes from maxing the strap and I have fairly average size wrists, not large.

The most durable watch in and around 20 dollars.
>You get what you pay for in terms of durability. That's not entirely true in terms of watches. For absolute budget I'd always recommend a Casio F-91W. Very cheap, very durable. But requires a battery change every few years. Stretch that budget a little higher and get a G-Shock 5610. Radio controlled, solar charged battery. Last watch you would ever buy. It will probably outlive you. Both of these will be most tough, scratch resistant, and accurate than a expensive automatic watch.

Marathon watches - Are They BIFL?
I'd recommend a Hamilton Khaki Field. Either quartz or mechanical depending on what you want. But if you care most about function and don't want an analogue watch you can't beat a G-Shock. Pick whichever most appeals to you and go from there. If you like a smaller watches, I'd recommend a square G-Shock. I like the DW-5600 on my small wrist. There's also a solar powered atomic clock version for about $100. I wouldn't worry about the battery either since by the time it has to change out, a mechanical watch would require maintenance anyways.

Looking for extremely durable watch, preferably wind up/self winding
G-Shock Tough Solar. They have analog dials available. Not Mechanical but mechanical watches aren't tough.

Casio GW-M5610U-1, my favorite battery powered device ❤️
After years of smartwatch and three Xiaomi bands, I decided to make this jump, and I think that if I ever get an Apple Watch for free, I would sell it to get a Seiko tank just to complete my dream couple lol or the recent Casio tank like (even if I hope for a white watch face model)

I live in Minnesota and have never killed a battery yet… I do stick it on the windowsill and have a rotation of three solars so that may make a difference, but have had zero issues whatsoever with long sleeves with the auto light. You can toggle it on and off too.

Bingo! Anything that kills a classic G-shock 5610… well, it killed you months ago.
