Let’s Talk Wirecutter: What Was Worth It and What Wasn’t?
I bought Coway (based on their recommendation) and Levoit (it's in their other list). Levoit is sooooo much better for me. I was actually trying to sell Coways (AM150) to buy two other Levoits (600S), but wasn't able to. They are different sizes, but one Levoit covering x4 area of two Coways. So it fair, imo. We had issue with AC sucking in dusty air + extremely polluted air in general where we live. Levoit cleans it all up very quick and efficiently. Coways struggle to get rid of the dust smell. Even when on full blast in a small room. Their auto on-off can be way off as well. It's either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Random, I guess. Levoits auto mode is good. When I set Auto in Eco mode, it's a bit slow to engage, but I guess it's part of the "eco" idea. It's Wifi Connected with interactive display, showing AQ reading. Can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Coway is few buttons only, no info and no wifi. Levoit cost about 30% more when both are on sale and is absolutely worth it.

Best air purifier/filter?
A good option would be to look for one with a HEPA filter, as these are specifically designed to trap fine particles like dust. For an entire household, models like the Coway AP-1512HH or the Levoit Core 400S are popular for their efficiency and quiet operation. If you’re focusing on a specific room, a smaller unit like the Dyson Pure Cool can work well without taking up too much space. Make sure the purifier you choose has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) rating that matches your room size for the best results...
