Will I regret going all in on Craftsman v20 tools?
Yea when this thing finally dies I'm just replacing it with the "regular" m12 fuel. I honestly would rather go with DeWalt but my company uses all Milwaukee so for a few of my basic/every day tools I went Milwaukee since we all share batteries

I’ve always been a Makita guy without knowing anything about the corporate side. My tools always just felt more solid and durable than coworkers’ Dewalt or Milwaukee. Then I saw this in r/construction.
Same. Their M12 line offers such amazing power for its size & weight, and their M12 Fuel is even crazier. Probably more than I will ever need as a home user/DIY, but it truly is a solid product. Plus you can easily leverage the 'hack' to get tool only deals as a reasonable price.

Which tool brand ecosystem would you invest in for 2025 and why for the occasionally frugal DIYer?
Milwauke M12 Fuel is what I'd recommend for DIYers. Has as much power as bushed 18V tools in a smaller lighter package, and the lineup is very broad and versatile especially if you do your own auto maintenance with the ratchet and stubby impact.
