Super Kim Can Opener
Since 1923 Nogent has been manufactured in France. The Nogent brand is the most reliable ally for home cooks and chefs alike. The unmatched comfort, convenience, and strength offer an outstanding cutting edge. The ergonomic design and accurate grip provide long-term comfort and convenience. Each tool either has handles made from hard, durable solid beech or hornbeam wood from sustainably managed forests or polypropylene, which is dishwasher safe. Wooden handles are hand wash only. The steel of the Super Kim, chrome-plated over nickel, guarantees high resistance to corrosion. The can opener knife, made of hardened steel, allows you to open cans of all sizes and shapes (round, oval, rectangular, square as well as ring boxes). The can opener crimps the edge of the can as it cuts it, making the opened can harmless. It can be used by both right-handed and left-handed people, and requires no physical strength.

A can opener that doesn’t break?
Best can opener is the Nogent Super Kim can opener. It’s a French brand, I know Logan Mercantile in Chicago always carries them (they have online shipping available). I’ve had mine for 10 years so far. It’s super small (doesn’t hog up drawer space) and has never let me down. Slices open my cans the first run through every time.

Can opener! If I had any power in this world, the people selling can openers that can’t open cans would be castrated
Nogent Super Kim. Smaller, faster, cleaner cut of the can, and safer (no need to apply any force). Place, turn, done! Can do any size or type of cans, even the rectangular ones.

What product would you seriously stockpile if you found out they weren't going to sell it anymore?
I actually have a Nogent Three Star Kim that I'm quite happy with... but guess what? No US source for them either anymore. The backup is a Swiss Army knife...

Vintage Swing-A-Way Can Openers
The old ones were decent. I think the best can opener currently made is the Nogent super Kim. All steel, and doesn’t leave a nasty edge

A can opener that doesn’t break?
The Nogent Super Kim is my favourite hands down. I’ve had mine for over 20 years and it still works great

A can opener that doesn’t break?
What type of can opener, and how did you break it? I have two favorites: 1. Oxo can opener with safety side cutter 2. Nogent Super Kim can opener. small. elegant. all steel. takes adjustment to using.

Can opener that doesn't break in less than a year
Nogent Super Kim. Cost about $20, I’ve been using mine over 20 years and all it needs is a drop of oil every 5 years
