Can opener that doesn't break in less than a year
I ended up getting the OXO side opener. No death grip bending the closer. 4 months strong so far and it works great. It's a little tougher for my 8yo to use, but he's getting there.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
This is a recurring purchase but..Tide powder detergent. I used to be very into “natural” and “non-toxic” products, but I can’t compromise when it comes to laundry detergent. I used to cloth diaper my babies and NOTHING cleaned those pee and poo holders better than Tide. Also I have soft water so the powder helps dissolve better :-) And a few items that are kitchen staples to me: Wilton stackable wire cooling racks (for cookies/baked goods); Oxo can opener; Wilton cookie scoop; And Corningware casserole dishes.
