Record player. I'm caving to my vinyl head friends and jumping into the game. Looking to spend around $250 or under with speakers.
Technics 1200 and some variations of it are BIFL for sure. Speakers aren't hard to be BIFL but a lot of them suck. Turntables are complicated. Anything with auto functions are off my BIFL list because they need servicing no one seems to do these days and means inferior tonearms typically - these functions go out by looking at them. Simple is the name of the game. Obviously the stylus is only good for so many hours but the cartridge can be BIFL by having a replaceable stylus. The most BIFL turntables are old transcription style ones, or broadcast style. They had enormous motors that sacrificed some sound quality for longevity.

What's the oldest appliance you own?
My stereo system is mostly 70s, Pioneer and Kenwood receivers, JBL speakers and Technics 1200 turntable. Still functional with some light maintenance over the years.

I'm looking for a vinyl player
You won't find a bifl turntable that has Bluetooth. Your best bet is to get a Technics 1200 and hook it up to a Bluetooth compatibility receiver.
