These 1460 boots from Dr. Martens feature an 8-eye lace-up design. They are crafted from Genix Nappa, a material innovation re-engineering reclaimed leather offcuts into a soft, lightweight, and durable material. The boots are set on a classic DMS outsole and finished with a signature yellow welt stitch. Each pair is highlighted with a special edition AirWair heel loop and have a two-tone PVC sole marked with signature grooving and a unique tread. The Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed and reinforced with a signature welt stitch.

BIFL *women's* winter boots, waterproof, arch support, please
Honestly I'm in the market for a good pair too. Right now I have a pair of vegan doc martens 1460s in black, I've got one pair for the warmer seasons with no faux fur line and one pair for the colder seasons with faux fur lining. They aren't entirely waterproof, but I work in a wet swampy climate and they are my daily wear boots for rain, mud, etc. and they're both very solid boots. The faux fur is just enough insulation to retain heat without making my feet all sweaty and boot-gross. They're good on slip resistance provided you keep them clean and both my pairs have survived multiple years of salty winters with no real damage aside from normal wear. I do kinda baby them a little, I use a boot brush to clean mud off the soles and a wet cloth to wipe them down. That's all the recommended cleaning, and they've been solid boots for me for years. It's kinda wild how much better the non-leather materials have gotten. Definitely didn't expect these boots to be, so far, BIFL quality... but provided you don't get the mass-market versions (try to buy direct from docs to ensure this) you might be happy with a pair of docs when you don't need riverstompers. Riverstompers are what my family calls waterproof boots. My dad used to say "if I can't stomp around a river bank and still have dry socks, they aren't waterproof!"

Ladies, what are the MOST comfortable boots you’ve worn for walking 10k+ steps a day?
> The key is to get the ones with the soft leathers rather than the plastic coated leathers. I agree with this for all Dr. Martens boots. I absolutely love my 1460s in Virginia leather. Soft as butter. OTOH, I had a pair of short Chelsea boots in smooth leather (plastic coated) that were so stiff they cut a deep gouge in the front of my ankle after only wearing them a short time, as they didn't bend at all with the motion of walking. I washed off the blood and sold them on Poshmark. Hopefully the new owner had better luck with them.
