What's everyone's go-to sneaker?
Go-to sneakers aren't meant to last forever, unless you have a huge collection. A year is above my expectations for sneakers with heavy mileage. 1-2 pair of New Balance seems to get the job done for me every year. I tend to go with Made in America, 990v6 are my current daily drivers.

At least according to RunRepeat the NB 990s are actually *less* durable than the 574 for example and having worn both I can believe it. 990s are obviously more comfortable though.

It's not really BIFL, but after putting on a pair of New Balance 990s, I haven't gone to any brand, and only replace NB 990v6, with another pair of 990v6.

Best wide shoes for heavy folks (8+ hours standing)
New balance 990 991 992 993 all amazing most comfortable sneakers have owned a pair of these through whole life, they also make wide sizes as someone who’s has been on heavier side , and has flat feet , these are the best option built well and they last:

Help finding total foot comfort shoes or boots.
Apologies, its not that clear on what the issue is... is it arch support or you just need a wide shoe? If both, I'd recommend NB 990 in one of the wide sizes for a firmer shoe, or the 1080 in the of the wide sizes for a bit more plush.
