Either Osprey Nebula or REI Ruckpack 30L Or just get a Chrome or Timbuk2 messenger if you insist on not using both straps

Backpack suggestions?
GORUCK GR1 is easily one of the toughest everyday backpacks out there built to handle serious weight and still look good after years of use. For something a bit more affordable, the Osprey Nebula or North Face Recon are both solid picks. They’ve got plenty of space for books and gear, and the stitching holds up really well even with one-shoulder carrying.

Everyday and Travel Backpack
Osprey Nebula is slightly bigger but might be what you are looking for. Has all the comfort of their backpacking packs, but is minimalist and sleek design. https://www.rei.com/product/210345/osprey-nebula-32-pack?sku=2103450002&store=274&CAWELAID=120217890015213678&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=112508503842&CATCI=pla-2003024795036&cm_mmc=PLA_Google%7C21700000001700551_2103450002%7C2003024795036%7CNB%7C71700000074092866&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=11304410784&gbraid=0AAAAAD_DTlz8_vH9drcWiflx56sjsXwId&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrPHABhCIARIsAFW2XBM32VtYEraJzAMQUnyg4mDE5xbu83ni7M2eo9snIWoLimmFDAB7haEaAo0CEALw_wcB I currently have the Tropos, which is the slightly bigger version, and it’s the best backpack I’ve ever owned. They also have the Daylite if you want something smaller.

Please recommend laptop backpacks
I think [this backpack](https://connectnetflow.com/osprey-nebula-commuter) might be a good choice. It's designed for commuting and seems to have great features.
