The most durable watch in and around 20 dollars.
Any used Timex quartz field watch is likely a good option. New they are going to be more than 20. But I would not be surprised if you found an expedition or something on EBay for 20.

Cheap BIFL Analog Watch?
Timed Expedition or Weekender. They have been my go-to travel watches for years, and I don’t recall even having to replace a battery. Easy to swap the straps, too.

Looking for a durable analog watch that isn't masculine?
I have the Timex Expedition women's watch. I beat the crap out of them kayaking, gardening, camping. They keep time, but the crystal gets badly scratched after a few months. Still, they are very affordable, so I just replace it when I can't stand it anymore.

Durable Watch for hands on work
A G Shock won't die. I had one that lasted 5 years in the Army. I lost it before it had any issues. They are not stylish at all, so I never went back to them once I got out. I have a Timex Expedition and Redwood Field V3 that look nice (imo) and are cheap. No issues with them.
