Best Carry On Luggage for 2026?
I’m an airline pilot. I fly 2-3 flights per day, 14-16 days a month. 6 years ago I bought a TravelPro Flight Crew 5 and it is still in quite descent condition. I now have a TravelPro Maxlite 5 as my travel luggage for vacations. I expect it to last at least 20 years if not much much longer. TravelPro.

thinking of splurging on a luggage set, any recs that'll last for years?
I got one of the travelpro flight crew models like 15 years ago that I ordered through a professional crew supplies site at less than half the cost of a “consumer” model and it’s been bulletproof

Airline pilot here. I have a Travelpro Maxlite 5 for travel, and the 2 wheel Travelpro FlightCrew 5 for work. That thing has done millions of miles and thousands of flights and it’s still going well. I replaced the handle 1 time, easy work. I abuse the hell out of my work luggage and it’s still going strong. Travelpro.

Best suitcase for carry-on and check-in in 2025! Hit it!
Travelpro Flight Crew is best hands down. The consumer versions are cheaper and a bit lower durability but still solid for the price. Both lines come with a real parts list from which you can order replacement parts when needed.

ThisTumi bag was stupid expensive but it's seen a dozen countries and been kicking ass for 11 years.
> My son needed a new carry on suitcase and I just bought a TravelPro Flight Crew 5 for 1/4 the price. I've used a TravelPro Platinum Elite softside carry-on suitcase for 11 years of fairly regular air travel now and it's still holding up like a champ. Had an issue with the telescoping handle a couple years ago, sent it back and having it replaced was free and effortless. Bought it for ~$300 on sale, I'd say it's more than worth it.

I've been a loyal B&R customer for close to 20 years and that is now coming to an end. Countless stories of them making it difficult for warranty claims online. I tried to get some zipper pulls and they wanted me to ship the suitcase back to their repair center instead of tossing a few in an envelope and mailing them to me. My son needed a new carry on suitcase and I just bought a TravelPro Flight Crew 5 for 1/4 the price. Heavy duty, no frills......just like the original B&R bags.

How reliable are American Tourister luggage?
For a full set - Trevel Pro Platinum is really good. If you need just a carry on for business travel you can save alot of money and get a tougher version called the Travel Pro Flight Crew (normally sold to pilots)
