This Viberg 310 Service Boot in Washed Brown Waxed Flesh is a classic pairing of the chunky sprung toe box last and a rugged waxed flesh, known for imparting beautiful patina with wear. Horween's Washed Brown Waxed Flesh starts out with a coffee brown dark shade with bit of broken-sheen on the appearance, but once you start scuffing and roughing it up, it'll reveal a beautiful light-tan / natural color underneath.

Boots of this style that aren’t made in China ?
If you want really high quality you can pick up some Viberg Service Boots made a ferry ride away in Victoria, but they're going to cost a lot more.

Nice pair of good work/comfort boots
But, for a more constructive comment: you can probably still snag something used that is well made. I recently picked up a pair of Viberg Service boots (which go for >$700 new) for $150 at an estate sale. They were barely worn, not even broken in. Keep your eyes open and something might come your way. Good quality used, but treated well is almost always worth looking at.
