Is this normal for brand-new Bombas?
I have darn tough full cushioned boot socks and I bought 10 pair(big baller lol) hoping they were bifl, 16 of the 20 are great and 4 socks have the same issue as yours on this photo. Might just be a general problem, but it freaked me out so I started washing my socks in a laundry bag and haven't had any worsening of the condition yet. I read that you can take a safety razor and lightly remove the pilling, not concerned enough to try that

Bought some Darn Tough Socks and can never see myself going back
DT has different lines and you kind of need to wear different ones for different environments/shoes. I do however wear my padded hikers in most of my shoes and boots, as well as by themselves inside all the time.
