Best Darn Tough Socks for Year Round Use
The micro crews are definitely the way to go for your climate. I've got both and the midweight ones make my feet sweat buckets in anything over like 75 degrees. The lightweight ones are perfect for most of the year and still warm enough for winter with decent shoes

They are too small for one. Also, do you wear socks without shoes in your house? Because socks aren’t slippers. Any brand will wear out very quickly if you do that. So between them being too small and wearing them without shoes… yeah not surprised you’re seeing this. The darn tough medium weight socks might last longer for you, but they are $30 a pair and if you wear them without shoes, you’ll wear down all the cushion much faster.

What style darn tough sock do you have and why would you go to bat for it?
That’s true, I guess. I try to keep in mind LL Bean in that aspect. Don’t want the lifetime warranty to go away because I’m sending socks back every other month. I’ve owned the hikers, work, and lifestyle. I’ve done warranty replacements for the hikers/work maybe…2 or 3 times in the last 5-ish years. The lifestyles….I replaced 2 or 3 times in the span of 5 months. The last time I sent the lifestyles in, I just ordered hikers and paid the difference.

BIFL socks that are BREATHABLE/COOL?
Paka. Extremely breathable and soft, I've largely split my sock drawer between Paka for warmer days/sneakers and Darn Tough cushioned for boots/colder weather.
