These stainless-steel frypans with a 7-layer construction provide unparalleled frying, perfect browning, and guarantee exceptional heat distribution and retention. The larger frypans feature a convenient helper handle for easy maneuvering. Thanks to a unique welding technology, DEMEYERE’s ergonomic, stay-cool handle is extremely secure. And because there are no rivets, it is extremely hygienic. The revolutionary, dishwasher safe Silvinox surface treatment maintains the silvery white finish of stainless steel while making it easy to clean and more resistant to fingerprints, harsh detergents, and strong acidic foods.

I never want to buy cookware again
Absolutely, 100% correct. I've tried numerous other brands over the years and none of them compare to Demeyere. Especially the Atlantis line. That stuff is god-tier.

I never want to buy cookware again
I've tried many of the top end brands and the absolute best of the best for stainless is Demeyere. All their stuff is fantastic, but the cream of the crop is the Atlantis line. Virtually perfect in every respect.

I never want to buy cookware again
For stainless steel I’d recommend the demeyere Atlantis line I love the rivetless design and they’re built like tanks

I never want to buy cookware again
I purchased the demeyer atlantis set a couple years back. Its fantastic but a bit heavy. The demeyer proline looked quite good when I was comparing and was lighter. I went with the atlantis cause I have an induction stove and that one worked the best with induction. It works great and im never going to need a new pan again.

I have a few Demeyere Atlantis pieces and they're heavy AF but I love them

Clad stainless steel is great. Make sure to get sealed rims or the aluminum core will ware away. I personally like hestan nanobond or demeyer Atlantis

I never want to buy cookware again
The dishwasher safe request may be the only reason I avoid All-Clad since OP never wants to buy again. While I definitely throw some of my All-Clad stuff in the dishwasher, I’m not expecting more than 10-15 years before the edges become razors (and that’s using it relatively infrequently compared to my Demeyere Atlantis and Falk cookware). All-Clad certainly meets the other criteria, but I might lean towards Hestan in this case for the sealed edges and similarly light weight.

A stainless steel skillet or stock pan and a pot for an induction cooktop
Demeyere Atlantis or Fissler Original Profi would represent the best BIFL option for the stated job. These were really designed around induction and their performance is reflective of this.

Fissler Pure Collection Review
They are not related, but Fissler is comparable to Demeyere in terms of quality, and the flagship stainless lines of each company (Original Profi and Atlantis) arguably represents the best stainless cookware you can buy, and arguably by and far the best cookware for use with induction, offering significant advantages over a traditional 3-ply construction. Design-wise, they use very different design philosophies on their flagship cookware.

Dishwasher Safe Stainless Steel Pots and Pans
My Demeyere Atlantis is so gorgeous - and expensive and cooks so amazingly well - that I’ve not yet dared to put it in the dishwasher. Should be fine but I hand wash and touch with a bit of Barkeeper’s Friend.

Dishwasher Safe Stainless Steel Pots and Pans
Depends how much you like your relative. Demeyere Atlantis/Proline is truly top of the line and has a sealed lip so it’s also dishwasher safe. Pretty much any stainless is dishwasher safe-ish though. The sealed lip is the key thing to look for on clad cookware though to ensure it won’t run into problems years down the line

What's the best cookware you've ever had?
Another vote for All-Clad - we bought ours some 20 years ago and they’re as good as they day we got them. Bought a set initially, soon realized the error of our ways and over time gave some away, and added a couple of their 5 ply items. Passed them on to our son when they were moving out last year. That also taught us never to buy a pre-configured set. Buy what you need and actually use, spread the purchase out if you have to. Replaced that with Demeyere Atlantis (we were doing a major kitchen reno, so ended up splurging on a few things) - this is at another level altogether. 7 ply, heavier but excellent heat distribution (and no rivets on the inside), feels about as close to cast iron as stainless can get. We love cooking, and this cookware has been a joy to use. We did manage to save a few $ by not getting a set, and only the items we wanted. Had to do that over almost a year, to take advantage of sales/specials, but pretty happy with where we ended.

I need new induction cookware I won’t have to throw away in two years.
Demeyere 7-layer. Sets you back about 250-300 euro per pan, definitely worth it.

Best to do individual pieces You can get all clad from the factory seconds sale and save a good bit that way. Keep in mind that if you get ones without sealed rims you can't put it in the dishwasher but you should be hand washing all your pans anyways. For a step up from all clad I would look at demeyer Atlantis or Pro line. Dutch oven I would want enamel cast iron like staub or le creuset. Zwilling does a bunch of factory seconds sale for staub. Hestan nanobond is fantastic if you want something somewhat nonstick that's super durable. Carbon steel is also non stick but doesn't work with acidic foods and needs to be seasoned like regular cast iron. Debuyer is great but you also have fancier brands like blanc creatives and smithey.

There is a learning curve but look at a high quality stainless steel set. It will last beyond your lifetime. Look at Demeyere Atlantis or All-Clad Copper Core or All-Clad 7-ply.

Stainless steel cookware recommendations?
Stainless steel is definitely a better option. It’s one of the safest and most durable materials for cookware- non-porous, so it doesn’t absorb flavors or bacteria, and there’s no coating to chip or scratch like with Teflon. Plus, it doesn’t react with acidic foods (like tomatoes or vinegar), which makes it super versatile. Imma toss in my two recs: 1) Demeyere Atlantis: I like it for the non-riveted handles. It’s super well made and honestly feels like it’s built to last forever. Total pro-chef vibes. 2) Alva Maestro: 18/10 stainless steel, no weird coatings or chemicals. It’s free from stuff like PFAS, PTFE, and PFOA, so you don’t have to worry about anything sketchy getting into your food. You might notice some sticking in the beginning if you’re used to nonstick, but once you figure out how to preheat and oil it right, it gets way easier.

Suggest for my kitchenware?
Demeyere Atlantis is my favorite cookware. My favorite knives are Wusthof Classic. You really only need four kitchen knives. You need a chefs knife, a utility knife, a pairing knife and a bread knife. For stainless steel flatware JA Henckels International Lani 65 piece. For plates, bowls and dishes, I prefer square shapes. They seem to fit better, in my kitchen cabinets. I bought two four piece sets from Target. I think it cost somewhere around $100, for two sets.

What’s the pan everyone needs that’s BIFL?
I used to be a cast iron guy, and while it has its uses, I find a good stainless steel pan to be far more versatile. I recently got a Demeyere Proline pan and it feels like the best pan I ever own. It comes with a 30 year warranty

Demeyere Atlantis. Sealed edges so no pitting from exploded aluminum like in All Clad. Buy once, cry once. I’ll never need another pan.

Pots and Pans for a wife that cooks multiple times a day
I think some stainless steel pans warp on induction and cause a buzzing sound. You are better off with electric. I think Demeyere stainless 7 ply is good on induction. But check YouTube Videos before you buy. There are lots of reviews.

All Clad D3 pan set worth it?
I ditto the voice to not get a set. Get what you use. I set my heart on Demeyere Atlantis, otherwise I would have went d3 route. The Atlantis is an incredible pan. Blown away with the quality. 7ply vs the D3 3 ply. Takes a lot longer to heat up, but retain heat incredibly well, and cleans up extremely easy.

Brands you swear by that have Buy It For Life quality products
All Clad D3 is great, but imo if you want something nicer than that, you’re better off with another brand. Their copper core really doesn’t stand up to the competition. Falk has a significantly thicker copper layer, or Demeyere Atlantis/Proline is always a good choice

What is a BIFL item/product you recommend?
I have the briggs and Riley Baseline carryon, medium roller (getting the Large/XL means you will be over the 50lb domestic (US) weight limit), and a cabin 2-wheel underseat roller. Great bags, although the wife wanted Away (seem nice so far, but not my preference). Tom Bihn backpacks. Took a week long trip to the tropics and the bag is a little unorthodox but it can hold a lot of stuff. And you have a variety of fabrics to select. Bose over hear headphones - great for travel and mine have lasted for awhile. For life is somewhat limited but its an electronic item that has a little tech, its a tradeoff. Sonicare toothbrush - It is like 10 years old on the original battery. Teeth are life. Agree with the Leatherman Wave+, good tool doesn't really excel at any one thing, but useful to have. Cookware: DeBuyer carbon steel country fry pan. I prefer this over cast iron. Demeyere Atlantis Fry pan - great steel fry pan. Allclad copper core (functionally similar to the d3 but I like the appearance of the copper line that shows through and I don't worry about cleaning it). I have watches. Mechanical ones are nice but as the old joke goes if you have to pick a watch to wear for the rest of your life what would you choose and no you can't choose your g-shock. NiMH batteries - where possible get rid of alkaline even if they are cheaper. They will leak and ruin your day and maybe even the device they are in. I choose Eneloops, the normal not the pro variant. Skip the LION batteries for now as they are 3.7v and require a voltage regulator to go to 1.5v, but if you need the 1.5v instead of 1.2v for the device meaning the NiMH won't work then the normal 1.6v lithium batteries would work. High quality LED lights - CRI should be 90+. They are a long term consumable but higher quality light is better. Knipex and Klein for tools. Knipex makes my favorite generalist pliers/wrenches. Klien makes great hand tools, I prefer the MiUSA options and use their linesmans for random things. Klien also makes a bottle opener, Wera does too and they are somewhat comfortable to hold. Clothes that don't have spandex. Spandex and elastic fail. I have had Patagonia fleece for 30 years and it still works. Randolph sunglasses - I just like them. Ray Ban 4140, they have spring hinges which means I can wear my spouse's and they have had theirs for 15 years although I had to buy new aftermarket lenses. Also discovered a french brand Cartel that also uses spring hinges, but don't know enough about this brand. Miele Washer and Dryer - gets rid of the vent ducting behind and they are solid if a little quirky. They canister vacuum is great. Converted the in-laws to this brand and they just went from the upright to the canister.

What brand / type of pots & pans are worth investing in as a young adult?
Hestan nanobond, or demeyer Atlantis for stainless Stargazer for plain cast iron. Lodge for cheaper. Staub or le creuset for enamel cast iron Blanc creatives for carbon steel. Matfer for cheaper. Faulk for copper. Really only worth it if you have gas. Generally would get a mix of fry pans in the different materials to see what you like.
