I only too umbrage with celebrating getting free stuff as "BIFL". Something being replaced and ending up in a landfill is what I want to avoid. I don't know why that triggered this sub so hard. That's why I am here. To not waste.

How is it not buy it for life worthy? You buy a bag once, and it’ll be repaired or replaced for life… that is the definition of buy it for life. I’ve had my Osprey Quasar now for 5 years and worn it a ton. It’s still like brand new

The Best Backpack Today?
I still have my Osprey Quantum backpack that I got around 2011, maybe 2012. I’ve used it for work, school, travel and hiking. Outside of a worn elastic band on one of the straps, it’s been really durable.
