All-Clad Sauté, brown, and sear with this product. This classic pan's large cooking area and tall, straight sides prevent splattering and allow for easy turning with a spatula. It is constructed with bonded stainless steel and a high-conductivity copper core for exceptional heating, even in induction cooking. The stick-resistant, 18/10 stainless steel interior and long, comfortable handle will make this an essential tool in your kitchen. It includes a lid with a convenient loop handle. Deeper than traditional fry pans, this sauté pan has a large cooking area and tall, straight sides that hold in juices, prevent splattering, and allow for easy turning with a spatula. Ideal for a range of foods, the sauté pan allows you to brown or sear, then deglaze or finish in liquid--all in one pan. Its rolled edges allow for drip-free pouring. The lid locks in moisture and heat to finish meals on the stove or in the oven.

Anyone bought this before ?
I got a factory second Copper Core Saucier. I had it more than a year before I noticed that it had a small aesthetic flaw in one of the welds on the handle. Works perfectly.

What’s the pan everyone needs that’s BIFL?
All Clad sauté. It has the most versatile shape that combines applications of several other pots and pans. You can do anything from fry chicken to make soup in one. My All Clad 5 qt copper core saute pan could truly be the only pan I own and I wouldn’t want for others, and it’s absolutely BIFL material. Lots of fad brands come and go (I’m looking at you, “Always Pan” by Our Place, the worlds most overpriced ceramic but successful bc of cute marketing). All Clad is timeless! If you want a more budget BIFL pan, my cuisinart dupes for All Clad pans are excellent and surely also BIFL quality. Just look for some of the nicer cuisinart 100% stainless steel pans with a similar shape to all clad (esp the handles), those are the dupes.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
All Clad copper core pans, my Thermomix (doesn't have to be the new model, a used TM5 is perfect), uniqlo cotton shirts, non stretch Levi's.

What brand / type of pots & pans are worth investing in as a young adult?
Don’t bother with non-stick all-clad. Go for the older copper core models. They are the best

Best pot and pan set
Avoid getting a set, you will inevitably get a good amount of stuff you’ll never use. Instead piece together your own. My personal set looks like this. You may have different needs but this works well for me. 12” All Clad Copper Core Fry Pan 12” Wagner Cast Iron (heirloom) 11” De Buyer Mineral B Pro Carbon Steel Pan 10” Wagner Cast Iron (heirloom) 4qt All Clad Copper Core Saucepan 2qt All Clad Copper Core Saucepan 7qt Staub Cocotte (Dutch Oven) 12qt Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stockpot 32cm Oxenforge Flat Bottom Wok These cover my needs perfectly. I phased out nonstick some time ago and don’t miss it at all. Carbon steel performs just as well when you get use to heat control. The 10” cast iron could go but I keep it because it works great for camping and it’s nearly 100 years old now. Someday I may swap it for an enameled cast iron pan of the same size. Again am - you may have different needs or wants but my point is that an effective kitchen is one that’s customized to you!
