Mineral B Frying Pan
Round frying pan with flared sides to enable food to easily slide onto a dish, ideal for searing, grilling and browning, as well as cooking omelettes and sauting vegetables. The Mineral B Element frying pan is manufactured in heavy quality iron, a 100% natural material with protective organic beeswax finish. It is guaranteed coating-free (no PFAO or PTFE) and no chemicals have been added. The material has naturally stick-resistant properties due to gradual seasoning, the more its being used, the better it cooks and the less it sticks. The frying pan reaches high temperatures and quickly seals food flavours, juices and nutrients. Excellent caramelization of food.

Anyone bought this before ?
Babying?! None for me. For my carbon steel pan I seasoned it twice with grapeseed oil and that has been pretty much it. Clean it with soap and water after use and keep on going. Carbon steel should not rust at all. I bought a de buyers 10" pan, https://www.debuyer-usa.com/products/mineral-b-fry-pan and when it came in I cleaned it (will come with a residue on it) pre-heated my overn, very very light coat of grapeseed oil and tossed it in. I did 2 layers. (https://www.amazon.com/Tourangelle-Grapeseed-All-Natural-Artisanal-Marinating/dp/B0078DRVT0?th=1) When cooking in it, say something like eggs, I put in a dab of olive oil, let everything heat up, toss in butter (olive oil increases the smoking point of butter) and then when its ready toss in the eggs.

Which type of pan is the BIFL king?
My favorite skillet changes. Right now: \#1 All Clad Copper core 12" \#2 Finex 12" cast iron \#3 DeBuyer 11" carbon steel frying pan \#4 Le Creuset 11" Signature enameled cast iron To be honest, they are all excellent. I tend to use the All Clad the most. And Finex next.

What’s the pan everyone needs that’s BIFL?
Debuyer carbon-steel. The two upper lines (Mineral B and some other) are thicker. They have a line that's 1mm thinner and for people that want something lighter. Mine have been in use daily for 12 years. I cut foods on them, use metal, make acidic sauces, make chili oils, no fucks given. Pots I just get anything stainless from a major brand with a copper core and works well on induction. Not all are the same.
