The Mackinaw Wool Cruiser was patented in 1914 for men working long days surveying timber stands in Pacific Northwest forests. Built from dense Mackinaw Wool, it blocks wind, sheds snow, and stays warm even when wet. The Cruiser has been a trusted favorite for over a century because the design just plain works. As it has evolved, changes have been subtle. This special-release jacket reflects the design of a 1948 Cruiser in our archive. Each of the four front cargo pockets are individually cut and sewn, with beveled corners. Those on the left side are oversized and vertically offset.
