Yeah the canvas tin cloth quality is really exceptional. I can’t tell between my MiUS field coat and imported tin cloth cruiser and tin cloth primaloft. I think the wool stuff with more buttons and trim is where the build quality is more noticeable. But who cares? It’s still great and works for me.

I agree, the build is not as great and I always revert to my old MiUS field coat for heavy chores, but I still chose Filson for the combo of durability, warranty and just plain cool

Which heritage brands are still good?
yeah ive had no issues. ive beaten my tin bibs and field jacket up no issues but jacket had no wax on it new. the guide sweater i have is definitely less durable than an old wool sweater of theirs i have but not by much also had to wax it.
