Downdrift Jacket
The Men's Patagonia Downdrift Jacket is an insulated jacket for winters in the mountains and in the city. The shell is constructed with NetPlus post-consumer recycled nylon faille and is treated with a DWR finish to shed light moisture. The baffles have been insulated with warm 600-fill-power Recycled Down to trap heat, while the full-length zipper with a covered placket provides wind protection. Removable, insulated hood with hidden adjustment cords that cinch down for protective warmth. Retro style blended seamlessly with modern fabrics and construction.

Help me choose a winter jacket: Filson Pateros vs Filson Waxed Down vs Patagonia Downdrift vs Patagonia Tres 3-in-1
I am unsure if you have purchased a jacket yet, but I own the Patagonia Downdrift. I believe it to be a generation 1 model as I think they made some changes to it since and I purchased mine the first year they made it. So far, it's an excellent jacket. I live in Northern Michigan, and it keeps me quite warm during the winter and when it gets very cold, I'm comfortable with the right layers on underneath. Water resistance is okay but on any days with temperatures above freezing and rain coming down it will get wet. When it comes to how it fits, I find when the jacket is zipped all the way to cover my neck it's just too tight I remedy this easily with a neck warmer. The wrist cuffs don't tighten down at all but as long as I have a good glove with a longer wrist cuff that also solves that problem. It's also not that long of a jacket but for me it's not an issue. I would give the jacket an 8/10 and perfect for casual use. I have had no issues with the build quality or overall fit, and I think the jacket looks great as well. In terms of technical use, I always grab an older 3-in-1 Columbia jacket for Snowboarding, winter hiking, or riding a Snowmobile. It's just something I'm more comfortable falling in or smelling like Snowmobile exhaust. On hikes I can take the outside layer off if the weather permits so I don't get too hot. I also find my 3-in-1 Columbia is much better at keeping rain out on those slightly above freezing days. Eventually I want to upgrade my 3-in-1 to something a bit nicer like the Tres but it's still meeting my needs. Feel free to comment back or message me if you have any other questions on the jacket that I didn't answer.

Need a Winter Coat That's Good in Snow/Rain/Sleet in sub zero temperatures
I suggest a down parka with a waterproof shell. So Patagonia Downdrift/Jackson Glacier or Fjallraven Nuuk/Singi. Those are all solid, my go-to in this category is the last generation Patagonia Downdrift Parka, 600FP and pretty beefy shell material with DWR. Try them all and get the one that fits with your layers the best.

Looking for a puffer jacket
My Patagonia Downdrift jacket has lasted me three winters so far and it's pretty rugged. It doesn't have this exact look, but similar. I was going to recommend a north face jacket for a closer look though.

what winter coat are yall using?
Last year I finally bought a Patagonia Downdrift because I hear Patagonia lasts forever and backs their stuff. I have loved it so far but it's only been a year.
